Occupational Therapy

The service is for people of all ages  whose ability to carry out daily living activities has been affected by physical illness or injury, developmental problems, the ageing process or mental health problems.

Occupational Therapy looks at all aspects of an individual’s life and the effect illness, disability or disease has on their ability to conduct everyday activities.

The Occupational Therapist will provide a full assessment of needs and agree a treatment plan with the individual. The provision of equipment may be required as part of the treatment.

The overall aim is to enable people to adapt to disability or regain their independence.
