Health Visiting

Wolverhampton Health Visitors offer a universal service to all families with pre-school children providing advice and support in relation to Family Health Needs and Child Health Promotion.

Teams are based at eleven different Health Centres across the city.

All Wolverhampton GP’s have an attached Health Vistor and any family not registered with a Wolverhampton GP will be allocated a Health Visitor on a geographical basis.

How to access this service
Referrals are normally taken through midwifery services or via other partner agencies.
Self referrals to the service are also taken.

Referral criteria / process 
The Health Visiting Team provide a service to families with pre-school children.

Locations where the service is provided
City wide Health Centres, Most GP surgeries, Children’s Centres, Nursery Classes.

Transfers into the area will be via your GP or the Gem Centre.

When is the service available? 
The Health Visiting Team is available Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 5pm.
