Continence Service
The Continence Service provides a full assessment for all those patients who have a problem with their bladder or bowel. The aim of this service is to improve or cure your symptoms. This is achieved through an individualised management programme that includes advice on diet, fluids, a pelvic muscle strengthening programme and where appropriate the use of medications.
The service is provided in clinics across the city; however, home visits can be arranged if a patient is housebound.
You are advised that there is a waiting list system for appointments whether they be for home visits or for the clinic.
Please note that this service is NOT a free pad service.

This service is an open referral service, which means you can refer yourself or make a referral on behalf of a friend or family. Your GP, Social Worker or Carer can also make the referral on your behalf.
