Child Health Records
The department is the link between the Acute Maternity unit and the PCT Health Visiting service.
It provides automatic appointments for Childhood Immunisations and Child Health Surveillance Assessments to ensure that any concern regarding your child’s development are picked up and referred to the appropriate service at the correct time.
The department also holds an electronic records base that provides statistical information for forward planning of services.
It is also the base for the Wolverhampton Children with Disabilities and /or Special Needs Record.

When is the service available?
The department is normally manned between the following hours:
8.30am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday
1.30pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday
1.30pm to 4.30pm Friday

Most appointments are generated automatically when a child reaches the set criteria (i.e. comes within a pre defined age band).
