Hospital and Inpatient Services

The Wolverhampton Stop Smoking Service provides a free Stop Smoking support programme to patients at New Cross Hospital, West Park Hospital and Penn Hospital.

If a patient wishes to stop smoking they will need to advise their nurse who will either complete a form or contact the Stop Smoking service on their behalf. A specialist Stop Smoking advisor will arrange a mutual appointment with the patient
Alternatively the patient can telephone the service directly on 0800 073 42 42 and make an appointment.

Patients who are discharged from hospital may continue to be supported in the home (each patient is assessed by the specialist advisors as to their needs and requirements for home visits) or in the community at various locations. All consultations are on a one-to-one basis.

In some areas in Wolverhampton, there are also nurses who are able to give essential help and support to people who are attempting to quit smoking.
