Whats in a Cigarette?
Most people dont really think about what they are inhaling but tobacco smoke contains more than 4000 chemicals. You have probably heard that tar, nicotine and perhaps carbon monoxide are contained in the burning matter but did you know that there are 600 toxic substances?

- Ammonia found in toilet cleaners
- Arsenic a deadly poison used in insecticides
- Benzene used as a solvent in fuel and chemical manufacturing
- Butane a form of lighter fluid
- Formaldehyde a highly poisonous substance, used to preserve dead bodies
- Hydrogen cyanide a poison used in gas chambers
- Methanol a rocket fuel
- Naphthalene more commonly known as mothballs
- Shellac when mixed with alcohol the resin becomes a wood varnish
