Non Executive Directors and Independent Committee Members
The PCT is now managed by a single board and a single executive team covering the four PCTs in the Black Country Cluster (Sandwell, Walsall, Dudley and Wolverhampton). Since September 2011 the local PCT Board has not met, and key decisions have been taken instead by the Black Country Cluster Board, on which Wolverhampton is represented by non executive directors Jim Oatridge OBE and Councillor Bob Jones CBE.
The other four people who formerly served as non executive directors on the PCT Board have now taken on the role of Independent Committee Member.
Local people appointed to represent the views of the community in which they live and work – and make sure these are taken into account when decisions are made. They have a key role in the local governance arrangements during the period of transition to the new NHS.
